GRINDHOUSE BURGERS MEMORIAL DR.

KUA converted an 8,000 square foot existing, dilapidated commercial building in the Grant Park neighborhood of Atlanta to a restaurant space with indoor and outdoor dining for local client, Grindhouse Killer Burgers.

Crafted to celebrate the vibrant personality of the owners and the best burgers in Atlanta, the design incorporates outdoor patios with a sweeping canopy overhead. The unique canopy is held up by site-cast concrete and creates a sense of enclosure and continuity with the interior space. The site’s location in the Grant Park Historic District required coordination with the Urban Design Commission, on top of the challenges of navigating topography, parking requirements, and placement of multiple outdoor patios. The resulting space has become a popular food destination along the rapidly-developing Memorial Drive corridor.
