Thrilled to be working with @westsidefuturefund and @oaks_atl again, this time on a missing middle residential project in the Vine City neighborhood! 18 more affordable units are on the horizon. We'll be posting progress photos as construction moves forward! 🚧

Reynolds Cottages with @forwardbrunswick in Brunswick, GA is going vertical! The development will include 46 units across cottages, duplexes, and ADUs, all just a few blocks from downtown. Learn more at the link in our linktree!

A new chapter for Kronberg Urbanists + Architects- We are now located in Summerhill!
Reynoldstown and our old historic church will always hold a place in our hearts, but we were bursting at the seams in our beautiful church studio. This move reflects not only our growth as a firm, but our continued commitment to designing places that strengthen communities, expand housing opportunities, and shape more connected neighborhoods.

We’re creating something exciting to help provide that language in plain, clear, practical terms, so everyone can understand and communicate the need for more housing without technical expertise.

Eric Kronberg and Elizabeth Ward Williams, alongside Alli Thurmond Quinlan of @rangeworks.co will be leading "Incremental Development: Training, Codes, Coalition" on May 14th from 2:30-3:30pm CST.

That same day, Eric Kronberg, Alli Thurmond Quinlan, and Christina Carlson of @unionstudioarch will be leading "Streamlining Housing Development with Pre-Approved Plans" from 4-5pm CST.

Ground has officially been broken on the Brownsville Pointe project for @fcsministries. This project will bring 18 residential units, and one commercial space, and will act as the "book cover" for the beautiful community Historic South Atlanta.

Thanks to FCS for inviting KUA to be a part of this project. We're excited to see the lasting impact this focal point will have on South Atlanta.

Eric Kronberg joined the @midatlrotary yesterday to discuss the City's draft zoning ordinance, and the impact zoning has on the social and economic success of our communities.

Opinions were high and discussions were productive!

Today is a big day for green sweaters in the office, and it’s not even St Patrick’s Day!

@abundanthousingatlanta will be holding the first "Action Hour" of the year on February 26th at KUA's office!

We'll spend time with other Atlantans who want to improve Atlanta's housing crisis, hear from KUA who will ground us in the challenges ahead, and take collective action to improve Atlanta's zoning code to make Atlanta more affordable, attainable, walkable, and equitable.

The cuteness continues on the West Side with our mixed use, missing middle project for Westside Future Fund.
We’re thrilled to be wrapping up this project and see the finishing touches come into place.

As we step into 2026, the KUA team wishes you a Happy New Year. We’re energized to continue advancing equitable, attainable, and livable communities, and grateful to do this work alongside so many dedicated partners.

Part 3: Economic Impact
Small lots drive affordability, boost local business, and strengthen city budgets. By making room for more homes and more neighbors, compact lots generate higher tax revenue per acre—helping cities fund better services, infrastructure, and public spaces that benefit everyone.

Part 2: History
Before zoning codes and minimum lot sizes, America’s earliest towns grew on small, human-scaled lots. The result? Tight-knit neighborhoods, lively main streets, and affordability baked into the urban fabric.
