Located in the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans, the New Orleans Jazz Market occupies a historic building that formerly housed the Dryades Market, originally opened in 1849. Featuring a 350-seat performance venue, full-service bar, and multifunctional lobby space, NOJO is an anchor of the revitalization of OC Haley Boulevard. The performance space was designed to the acoustic specifications of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and features a flexible seating system with stadium seating that can be collapsed and stored to provide more floor space for events. Large operable partitions between the performance space and the lobby and bar allow for the entire venue to function as a single space for large gatherings. The lobby was designed to double as a gathering space to support music education experiences and community gatherings. Now a vibrant hub of activity and celebration of New Orleans music and culture, the project has been recognized by several major awards.
